1. The company Lignano Pineta in collaboration with the cultural association Arte Pagnacco organises the fourth edition of the Renzo Ardito painting contest.
2. The goal of this initiative is to celebrate Renzo Ardito, one of the founders of the modern Lignano style, and to highlight parts of the territory.
3. The competition will open on Saturday, 8th September and will end on Sunday, 9th September.
4. The event includes a competition of freestyle painting, with the theme: “Pineta: loved, lived… painted”.
5. The contest is open to artists of all ages and backgrounds, with separate section for children and/or teenagers up to 14 years.
6. To participate, each artist will be provided with a canvas or a board. The confirmation of the canvas or the white board will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, 2nd September and from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, 3rd September, at the PalaPineta, a meeting place for artists in the Parco del Mare di Lignano Pineta (Lignano Pineta Seaside Park) between Viale a Mare and Raggio dei Canestrei.
The canvases or tables can be authenticated at the headquarters of the Associazione Arte Pagnacco in Via Fruch n. 5 in Pagnacco on Saturday September 8 from 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.
7. Each artist may compete with one work only, with suspension hook with or without frame, measuring a maximum of 100 cm x 100 cm.
8. The organisation will indicate the workspaces to be used for the extempore participants, which must be kept tidy by the artists themselves. Participants must bring their own equipment and work materials (easel, chairs and anything else required).
9. The completed artwork will be delivered to the organisation at the PalaPineta, on Saturday, 2nd September at 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, 3rd September until 2:30 p.m., which is the deadline for delivery.
10. By regulation, all artwork must display in a clearly legible manner, on the reverse side, the following information: author (full name), title, sizes and technique.
11. After the last delivery, all the artwork will be exhibited at the PalaPineta in Lignano Pineta in the Parco del Mare (Seaside Park) of Lignano Pineta and will be viewed from the moment when the panel will complete its work, until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday 3rd September. Artists are encouraged to leave their artwork on display until said time and to collect them no later than 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, 3rd September. The winning artwork will remain as the assets of the Lignano Pineta Company and will be exhibited in areas open to the public. The Lignano Pineta Company declines any liability for theft, damage or anything else during the period of the event.
12. The members of the jury, consisting of historians and critics of expert artwork, will be announced during the awards ceremony. The jury will examine the submitted works and will award the prizes with final and irrevocable judgment.
13. The authors of the three pieces of artwork, who achieve the highest scores from the jury, with regard to technical skills and originality, will be awarded a prize respectively:
